Rafting initiation : Saint Georges Gorges

Starting at the highest point of the navigable part of the Aude River, this 6km trip drives you since the first paddle strokes into the rapids of this steep-sided gorge of St Georges (class III). Then, you will enjoy the heat of Axat valley and its white waters.

This trip is the first part of the integral one. It is the  ideal  family course. Younger children can join us after the rapids of the Gorges de St. George. This course can’t be taken if there is not enough water.

The meeting point is on our base, in the camping du pont d'Aliès, between Carcassone and Perpignan. Here you will take the equipment and our minibus will drive you to the starting point.

The guide will tell you all the necessary safety informations for the wild waters activities.

Raft 8 seats
Helmet
Paddles
Life Jacket
Integral neoprene wet suits
Neoprene socks and water shoes

Duration:  2h00 total,   1h15 on  the river.
Season:  from March to October  (Outside this period, please contact us.)
Minimum Age:  from 10 years old
Trip length:  2 hours or half a day
Conditions:  Minors need a parental consent.
All participants must know swimming 50 meters.
What you need:  A bath suit and a towel
